Communication Policy
Last updated: 11 August 2026
1. Clear & Respectful by Default
Good communication is at the heart of how Chambrix works. As a remote-first team, we rely on writing clearly, keeping others informed, and treating every teammate and client with respect. When in doubt, we over-communicate rather than leave people guessing.
2. Async-First
Asynchronous communication is our default. We write things down, keep decisions and updates in shared tools, and avoid pulling people into unnecessary meetings. This protects focus time and lets a distributed team collaborate across time zones without anyone being blocked.
3. Response Expectations
- Team messages: acknowledged within a reasonable window during working hours — not instantly, but not left for days.
- Client enquiries: we aim to respond quickly, typically within one business day.
- Urgent or blocking issues: flagged clearly and escalated straight away.
- If you will be away or offline, let the relevant people know in advance.
4. Meetings
We keep meetings few, short and purposeful. Every meeting should have a clear reason and outcome, and anything that can be handled in writing usually is. Key decisions from any call are written up so nobody is left out of the loop.
5. Transparency & Visibility
Everyone keeps their tasks, progress and blockers visible in our shared project tools. This means work moves forward without constant status check-ins, and anyone can see where a project stands.
6. Tone & Professionalism
We communicate honestly and kindly. We give feedback directly but respectfully, assume good intent, and keep client-facing communication professional at all times. Disagreements are fine — how we handle them is what matters.
7. Questions
